High School Athlete of the week

Clint Coulter, Union baseball

Union senior Clint Coulter has been voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of April 9-14 by a vote of fans on Facebook.

Coulter collected 38.8 percent of the 387 votes this week to beat Prairie tennis player Akari Baba, who had 25.8 percent.

The senior catcher went 2-2 with a double, RBI and five stolen bases in a game against Heritage. Against Skyview, he went 2 for 2 with a double and RBI.

The other candidates were Columbia River golfer Chloe Bartek, Camas track and field athlete Alexa Efraimson, and Camas softball player Mikaela Searight.

Check back at The Columbian’s high school sports Facebook page at www.facebook.com/360preps this weekend for next week’s athlete-of-the-week nominees. Voting begins Monday and continues through Thursday evening.
