LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Bershawn Jackson ran the fastest time in the world this year to win his seventh 400-meter hurdles title at the Kansas Relays on Saturday.
His time of 48.20 seconds was also a Kansas Relays record, breaking his own mark set in 2008.
Jackson said he had a great fall, but a hamstring injury had kept him out in the spring.
“I was a bit skeptical before the Relays,” Jackson said. “This was the fastest I’ve ran in my whole career this early, so it’s a bit scary.”
