MEXICO CITY (AP) — American midfielder DaMarcus Beasley scored his fifth goal of the season as Puebla lost 2-1 to Jaguares on Sunday in Mexico’s top division.

Beasley entered at the start of the second half and tied the score with a 12-yard right-footed shot in the 70th minute after Felix Borja headed down a long ball into the penalty area.

Jorge Marcelo Rodriguez put the visitors back ahead in the 86th.

The 30-year-old Beasley, who played for the last three U.S. World Cup teams, has four league goals this year and one in the Mexican Cup.
