VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) — Tracey Dorow has been hired as the women’s basketball coach at Valparaiso.

Dorow spent the last 14 seasons at Division II Ferris State, guiding the Bulldogs to four NCAA tournament appearances. The Bulldogs were 23-7 last season, making the second round of the NCAAs.

She replaces Keith Freeman, who resigned last month after taking over the program 18 years ago. The Crusaders were 10-21 last season.

Dorow played at Illinois State from 1990-92 before transferring to Northern Michigan.
