SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) — Authorities in Lane County say a search crew found a couple and their 4-year-old granddaughter huddled on a root wad on the McKenzie River where they had taken refuge after their boat capsized. They were stranded for nine hours.

The Eugene Register-Guard (http://bit.ly/JEbktk ) says the three were treated for mild hypothermia after they were rescued Monday night.
