DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings have gathered for their annual team picture.

Nicklas Lidstrom isn’t sure, or won’t say, if he will come back.

The four-time Stanley Cup champion and seven-time Norris Trophy winner said Tuesday he plans to decide by July 1 whether to return or retire. He believes his body can hold up for another season, but isn’t sure if he’ll be mentally motivated enough to play again.

Tomas Holmstrom insists he’s not leaning toward calling it a career or coming back because he has taken a beating in front of the net for 15 seasons.

Lidstrom says the Red Wings need to make just a couple tweaks this offseason for them to bounce back from a first-round exit.
