Joe and Peggy Levesque recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married April 18, 1952, in Downey, Calif. Joe served as a paratrooper during World War II. He is a former cattle and avocado rancher, and a retired builder and developer.

Joe and Peggy have had an exciting and adventurous life. They both enjoy each moment and are still healthy and much wiser. They would not trade their lives with anyone. They attend Harvest Community Church and live in Camas.

They have six children, Denise, Steve, Debbi, Jim, Karen and Michael — among them they include three Eagle Scouts and have earned seven college degrees — and nine grandchildren.
