Celtics F Pierce sprains left big toe in finale

BOSTON (AP) — Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce has left the team’s regular-season finale against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a sprained left big toe.

The Celtics say Pierce is not likely to return to Thursday night’s game.

Pierce, who leads the Celtics with 19.7 points per game, started and scored the first five points before leaving with the injury.
