PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police are trying to identify a boy found alone on a light rail train.

The boy is believed to be between 9 and 13 years old, about 5-foot-2 and weighing 140 pounds. He has been unable to communicate his name or where he lives and police say he may be autistic.

Some bystanders stayed with the boy on a MAX train platform Friday evening until transit police arrived.

The Oregonian reports there have been no calls involving a missing child in Multnomah, Clackamas or Washington counties in Oregon or Clark County in Washington since the boy was found. He’ll be temporarily placed in a foster home.
