Cowboys get S Matt Johnson to end 4th round

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have selected Eastern Washington safety Matt Johnson with the final pick of the fourth round.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound Johnson was the 135th overall pick. That was the 40th and last selection in the fourth round Saturday.

Through their first four picks in the draft, the Cowboys selected four defensive players. It is the first time since 1982 they used their first four picks on defenders.

With the 113th overall pick earlier Saturday, Dallas got Wake Forest outside linebacker Kyle Wilber with the 113th overall pick earlier in the fourth round.

On the first two days, Dallas got LSU All-American cornerback Morris Claiborne sixth overall and Boise State defensive end Tyrone Crawford with the 81st overall pick in the third round.
