Scottsdale’s Choe wins in Mexico

NUEVO VALLARTA, Mexico (AP) — Esther Choe won for the second straight week on the Symetra Tour, shooting a 4-under 69 on Sunday for a six-stroke victory in the Riviera Nayarit Classic.

Choe, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., had a 12-under 207 total at El Tigre Golf & Country Club, and earned $18,750. She was coming off a victory in the Sara Bay Classic in Sarasota, Fla.

Jean Chua, from Malaysia, and Ginger Howard, from (Bradenton, Fla., tied for second. Chua had a 68, and Howard a 69.

The LPGA Tour developmental series was previously known as the Futures Tour.
