TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Tulsa Shock will be without leading scorer and rebounder Tiffany Jones for the upcoming season as she is expecting her first child.

The Shock announced Monday that Jones, who previously played under her maiden name of Tiffany Jackson, would miss the entire season. She is due this winter.

Jones averaged 12.4 points and 8.4 rebounds last season as the Shock finished with the worst record in the WNBA. She started 32 of 34 games, and her 11 double-doubles ranked third in the league.

New head coach Gary Kloppenburg says Tulsa will miss Jones’ rebounding, energy and leadership but he’s hopeful rookies Glory Johnson, Vicki Baugh and Lynetta Kizer can help make up for her absence.
