A Vancouver-Portland car club, Rose City Classics, donated $40,000 to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.

The car club raised the money as part of its annual charity drive. Most of the money was collected from the Woodland Planters Days Festival and Cruise In on June 16.

In the last 12 years, Rose City Classics has donated more than $150,000 to local charities mostly in Clark County.

“This generous gift will help us continue to accept all hospice patients regardless of their ability to pay,” said Marc Berg, director of HomeCare and Hospice at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, in a news release. “In addition it will help our program fund a variety of smaller items that help to personalize the care provided to all our patients.”
