SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Two Texas-San Antonio football players have been dismissed from the team after their arrests on aggravated robbery charges.

UTSA spokeswoman Christi Fish said Friday the university was notified of the arrests of safety Adefemi Adekeye (add-eh-FEEM-ee ADD-eh-key) and cornerback Toyin Dada by San Antonio police. Both players were walk-ons.

A police report says the victim went into an apartment Tuesday to buy marijuana and was talking to one suspect when another man came out of a bedroom holding a rifle. The report says the first suspect pulled a handgun, and both men attacked the victim before telling him to leave.

Adekeye, who was released on bond, didn’t immediately return a phone message. Officer Matthew Porter said Dada was jailed on $75,000 bond. He didn’t know if Dada had an attorney.
