ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — Reggie Wayne could have found a new team when the Colts decided to rebuild during the offseason.
Instead, the veteran receiver came back to play in his adopted hometown as the veteran leader of a rebuilt offense.
In many ways, the perennial Pro Bowler feels like a rookie all over again. He’s learning new names, new faces and a new system.
But around training camp, Wayne is one of the most recognizable faces. Fans cheer his every step. The rookies have started joining him to catch balls at the end of practice, and veterans can’t imagine a training camp without him.
