LONDON (AP) — Track and field’s governing body suspended athletes from Belarus and Morocco for doping offenses, barring them from the London Olympics.

The IAAF says hammer thrower Ivan Tsikhan and middle-distance runner Amine Laalou will face disciplinary cases that will be handled by their national federations. The Associated Press reported Friday that both left Britain.

The Belarus Olympic body said it sent Tsikhan home. Morocco’s sports minister said Laalou was refused entry at a London airport Thursday. Laalou was sent back on flight to Morocco the next day.

Belarus officials said Tsikhan had failed an IOC retest of his sample when he won a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
