CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — Nick Mangold has changed his mind and is leaving training camp with the New York Jets to watch his sister Holley compete in the Olympics in London.

The All-Pro center had insisted previously that he wouldn’t go because he didn’t want to leave his teammates in the middle of camp to take an overseas trip. But coach Rex Ryan kept trying to lay “the guilt trip on him” to watch Holley compete in the women’s weightlifting competition, which begins Sunday.

It worked, as Mangold sent a message on Twitter early Saturday saying: “Anyone want to guess where I’m heading?” with a picture from an airport terminal. He also thanked the organization and added “Go (at)HolleyMangold!” The team has a scrimmage Saturday and is off Sunday.

CBSSportsline.com first reported Mangold’s decision.
