TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Dan Orlovsky has gained some valuable experience playing for some of the NFL’s worst teams.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping their new backup quarterback can help to turn around the career of starter Josh Freeman, who is coming off a disappointing 2011 season.

The 28-year-old Orlovsky figures to get a lot of preseason snaps for the Bucs, who lost their final 10 games a year ago while Orlovsky was starting for the Indianapolis Colts.
