ZURICH (AP) — England has risen to an all-time high of third in the FIFA world rankings, while world champion Spain remains No. 1 on Wednesday

England reached the quarterfinals at the recent European Championship. Germany is second, Uruguay drops to fourth and Portugal is fifth. Euro 2012 runner-up Italy stays at No. 6.

Seventh-ranked Argentina is the only other South American team to make the top 10, with Brazil slipping two places to 13th.

Ivory Coast is the only African nation in the top 20, at 16. South Sudan, which became FIFA’s 209th and newest member, drew its first international match 2-2 with Uganda to move into 199th place.
