CHICAGO (AP) — Kevin Youkilis has been scratched from the Chicago White Sox starting lineup because of a sore right knee.

Youkilis was slated to bat second and play third base against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Instead, the White Sox inserted Ray Olmedo into the lineup at third and had him bat ninth.

Gordon Beckham went from hitting ninth to leading off, with Jordan Danks dropping from the top of the order to eighth. Alexei Ramirez moved from seventh to second, while Dayan Viciedo went from batting eighth to seventh.

Danks started his second straight game in center field, with Alejandro De Aza bothered by tightness in his back.
