LONDON (AP) — The woman who gave up her spot to Allyson Felix in the individual 100 meters after a dead heat for third place at the U.S. trials is set to run the second leg on the American team in the Olympic 4×100 relay qualifying Thursday night.

Jeneba Tarmoh joined Tianna Madison, Bianca Knight and Lauryn Williams on the relay squad for the opening round.

Tarmoh and Felix, who won the 200-meter gold Wednesday night in London, tied for third in the 100 trial at Eugene, Ore., in late June. USA Track and Field didn’t have a rule to break such a tie and came up with a system on the fly, even raising the possibility of deciding the Olympic berth with a coin flip.

In the end, the two sprinters were going to have a runoff, but Tarmoh withdrew hours beforehand, ceding the spot to Felix.
