Maple Leafs sign 1st-round draft pick Biggs

TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Tyler Biggs to a three-year, entry-level contract Thursday.

The 19-year-old from Loveland, Ohio, was Toronto’s first-round draft pick in 2011 and played for Miami University last season. In 37 games, Biggs had nine goals, eight assists and 63 penalty minutes.
