MONTREAL (AP) — Aleksandra Wozniak defeated American Christina McHale 7-6 (5), 6-3 Saturday to complete a rain-delayed match and advance to the quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup.

Wozniak led 5-2 in the second set Friday night when their third-round match was halted by rain. She needed only a few minutes to wrap it up Saturday.

She will face the winner of the match between Caroline Wozniacki and American Varvara Lepchenko. Wozniak became the first Canadian since Patricia Hy-Boulais in 1992 to reach the Rogers Cup quarterfinals.

Also, Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Chanelle Scheepers 6-2, 6-4, and Li Na beat Sara Errani 6-4, 6-2. Li will face Radwanska later Saturday.
