Sensible Lady wins Coronation Cup at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Sensible Lady rallied to overtake the leaders leaving the sixteenth pole and drew away to a 2 3/4-length win in the $100,000 Coronation Cup Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Saratoga Race Course.

The win Monday was the third straight for the Tim Salzman-trained Sensible Lady and sixth in 12 career starts. She ran 5 1/2 furlongs over the turf course in 1:03.14 and earned $60,000 for owner Matt Lyons. She was ridden by Xavier Perez.

Sensible Lady paid $8.30, $4.80 and $2.70. Kiss in the Forest, the runner-up, returned $7.50 and $5.90 and Spun Cap, third of nine, paid $6.70.
