Firefighters take honors at state training academy

Ridgefield — Three firefighters with Clark County Fire & Rescue, based at North 65th Avenue in Ridgefield, just graduated from a 12-week course at the Washington State Fire Training Academy in North Bend. Bryan Carroll and Travis Mayer won “1st Due Engine Company” awards; Josh Haldeman won a “1st Due Truck Company” award; all three won “Bull Dog Awards.”

“We are extremely proud of the way you represented Clark County Fire & Rescue,” Battalion Chief and Fire Marshal Tim Dawdy told the graduates.
