Memory Makers help ill attend fair

The Columbian
Published: August 14, 2012, 5:00pm

Fairgrounds — Six medically fragile children and their families had the opportunity to savor the Clark County Fair thanks to donations of time and special care by firefighter/paramedic “companions” from Local 1805 Professional Firefighters who serve Clark County Fire District 6. These children, patients of local hospitals, participated in carnival rides, exhibits and fair food. Other contributors, including People’s Community Federal Credit Union, Clark County Fair and Butler Amusement, assisted each family’s fair experience by funding admission, parking, carnival rides and food. This is the Memory Makers program’s 11th year.
