MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rookie guard Julie Wojta was waived by the Minnesota Lynx on Friday before their game against the Washington Mystics in the teams’ return from the month-long Olympic break.
Wojta was selected by the Lynx in the second round of this year’s WNBA draft out of Wisconsin-Green Bay and then waived at the end of training camp. She signed to a seven-day contract on July 10, and appeared in one game, grabbing two rebounds in four minutes against Tulsa on July 12.
