Bucs’ RB Blount leaves game with leg injury

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — LeGarrette Blount, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ projected starter at running back, limped off the field with an apparent leg injury late in the second quarter of their matchup with Tennessee on Friday night.

With the Bucs trailing 20-7, Blount look a hit to his left leg during a second-down run with 2:18 left in the half and remained down after the play.

Most of the Bucs’ starters had been pulled by that time, including starting quarterback Josh Freeman, though some were still on the filed getting reps along with Blount.

Blount, in his third year out of Oregon, had rushed eight times for 11 yards at the time of his injury.
