SEATTLE — Bail has been set at $1 million for a man arrested in connection with the brutal slaying of a man at a Seattle assisted-living facility last year.

Charles Jungbluth, 51, was arrested by Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday. He appeared in court Friday and is being held in King County Jail in lieu of bond. Prosecutors have until Tuesday to file charges.

Francis Patrick Fleming, 70, was found dead in his apartment in December after a robbery. Investigators say DNA evidence in Fleming’s ransacked apartment led police to Jungbluth.
