NEW YORK (AP) — Montreal defender Hassoun Camara has been suspended for an additional game, after receiving a red card on Saturday, and defenders Victor Bernardez of San Jose and Gershon Koffie of Montreal have been given one-game bans.

Major League Soccer’s disciplinary committee announced the decisions Tuesday. All three were also fined.

Camara was ejected in the 19th minute for violent conduct against San Jose forward Steven Lenhart, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension that will be doubled under the disciplinary committee’s decision.

Bernardez was penalized for endangering the safety of Montreal midfielder Lamar Neagle. Koffie was disciplined for endangering the safety of Seattle midfielder Andy Rose and given an additional fine for making an improper gesture.
