MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Kansas State didn’t have much trouble dealing with complacency last season, and for good reason. The Wildcats were underdogs just about every week.
But after a breakthrough 10-win season and a trip to the Cotton Bowl, the No. 22 Wildcats are suddenly in the crosshairs of every team on the schedule, and longtime coach Bill Snyder is already cautioning a veteran team against complacency.
Snyder will know whether his message has sunk in soon enough. Kansas State opens its season Sept. 1 against Missouri State.
