ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Adrian Beltre has hit three home runs in his first three at-bats against the Baltimore Orioles, including two in the Texas Rangers’ nine-run fourth inning.

Beltre hit his first homer Wednesday night leading off the second against Tommy Hunter. With that long ball, he became the ninth third baseman in major league history with 10 seasons of at least 20 home runs.

He connected again off Hunter for a two-run shot with none out in the fourth. He then hit another two-run drive with two outs while facing Kevin Gregg. Each time Josh Hamilton was on base.

On May 8, Hamilton became the 14th player all-time to hit a record four home runs in a game. His feat also came against the Orioles, in Baltimore.
