ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — A lack of consistency has raised questions as to how ready the Buffalo Bills are a little over two weeks before the start of the season.
Coach Chan Gailey joked there’s so much the team has to work on that he isn’t about to start canceling practice.
Gailey is looking to see improvements on both sides of the ball on Saturday, when the Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s the third preseason game, and one in which Buffalo’s starters will have one last chance to work out the numerous kinks that have hampered them in two losses.
The Ryan Fitzpatrick-led offense has lacked finish and efficiency. And the new-look Mario Williams-led defense has been susceptible to giving up big plays.
