Letter: Build the bridge without light rail

The Columbian
Published: August 26, 2012, 5:00pm

Now, the president is involved in the Columbia River Crossing. Does he not do what the people want? Does any politician do what the people want?

We have voted down light rail twice. We don’t want it or need it. C-Tran can do what is necessary here.

They (the CRC) said the bridge height would be higher without a lower deck. Simple solution, eliminate the lower deck and light rail. We need the height for commerce. There should be no sacrifice for light rail versus commerce.
