Republicans and Democrats are planning viewing parties for Wednesday night’s local debate between gubernatorial candidates Rob McKenna and Jay Inslee.

All the tickets to see the debate live are taken, but it will be broadcast live on KATU-TV.

The debate will take place 8 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium at Washington State University Vancouver. KATU anchor Brian Wood will be the host, and the debate will be rebroadcast on CVTV.

Democrats and Republicans also will host debate watch parties on Wednesday evening. The Democrats’ party will take place at Smokey’s Pizza, 6920 N.E. Highway 99 in Vancouver, while the Republicans’ party will take place at McKenna’s local campaign headquarters, 9901 N.E. Seventh Ave. C-119.

The Columbian will live blog during the debate on its website.
