ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Rays right fielder Matt Joyce left Tuesday night’s game at Texas with a left forearm strain.

Joyce struck out against Yu Darvish in the top of the first inning. He played the field in the bottom of the first, but was then replaced by Sam Fuld.

It was unclear how exactly Joyce got hurt. He had no plays in the field.

Joyce has only four hits in his last 39 at-bats since a career-long 12-game hitting streak that ended Aug. 14. He missed 23 games earlier this season because of a left external oblique strain.
