Beetle is a 5-year-old Jack Russell terrier. He is very shy when meeting new people and prefers a quiet environment, so a home with no children younger than age 10 would be best. If you have older children he might be living with, please bring them in to meet him. A home with no other dogs is also preferable.

Harley is a 4-year-old white and blue domestic shorthair. He came to the shelter as a stray about a year ago and was adopted. Sadly, his new owners lost their home and cannot take care of him any longer. He is a sweet and loving boy who would do well in any home. Please bring any children who might be living with him to meet him.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
