ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have claimed defensive back Phillip Adams, linebacker Keenan Clayton and tackle Willie Smith off waivers.

Oakland waived cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Bryan McCann, and waived/injured defensive tackle Jamie Cumbie on Saturday to make room on the 53-man roster.

Adams played in 22 career games in two seasons with San Francisco, New England and Seattle. He was waived by Seattle on Friday.

Clayton played in 21 games with one start in two seasons with Philadelphia.

Smith played in four games with three starts for Washington last year.

Earlier, the Raiders added linebackers Nathan Stupar and Kaelin Burnett and receivers Brandon Carswell and Travionte Session to their practice squad. Oakland still has four empty spots on the practice squad.
