The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In October, the Board of Nursing Home Administrators charged Joseph Anthony Joy with unprofessional conduct. A complaint was received alleging that Joy caused psychological harm to a patient by not letting the patient keep her cat. Joy hasn’t responded to a letter from a department investigator asking about the incident.

In October, the Nursing Assistant Program charged registered nursing assistant Lindsay May Walters with unprofessional conduct. Walters allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine during a workplace drug test.
