Girls basketball: Ridgefield 53, Fort Vancouver 29

The Spudders stepped up their game with three starters out and won going away.

Riley Metzler, a freshman playing her first game, led Ridgefield (2-1) in scoring with 15 points. Brooke Kates had 14 and Beatrice Bremer 11.

Ridgefield point guard Cami Pickett had seven points and 10 rebounds plus played tough defense on Fort’s top scorer Mar’Shay Moore, holding her to 16 points.
