UNC Wilmington beats Coker 62-47

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Keith Rendleman posted his third double-double of the season in UNC Wilmington’s 62-47 win over Coker on Wednesday night in nonconference action.

Rendleman, who was 9 -of-15 shooting, had 20 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and the two blocked shots needed to move into third place all-time on UNC Wilmington’s career block list.

Tanner Milson hit 3 treys en route to 13 points for the Seahawks, who shot 40 percent (6 of 15) from deep.

UNC Wilmington (4-4) led by as much as 13, 23-10, in the first half but entered intermission ahead 27-22.

Julian Nelson scored the opening bucket of the second half to cut the deficit to 27-24 but Coker would get no closer as UNC Wilmington went ahead 60-43 at the 3:34 mark behind a jumper from Milson.

Andrew Morris led Coker (2-4) with 12 points but the Cobras shot just 37.7 percent (20 for 53).
