LAS VEGAS (AP) — Beyond the common goal of notching another win, No. 20 Boise State and Washington are seeing different opportunities in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Boise State coach Chris Petersen says the Dec. 22 game is a chance to show organizers of other bowls how many fans the Broncos can lure.

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian says the bowl presents an opportunity for the Huskies to earn a place on the national stage.

Boise State (10-2) is playing in the Vegas Bowl for the third straight year, having beat Arizona State last year and Utah in 2010.

Washington (7-5) is making its first appearance.
