ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz says he and his staff are very self-critical of decisions they make after every game.

They go through their entire game plan each week and discuss what they would do differently if the same situation comes up in another game.

He says it’s important for coaches and players to analyze what they could do better on a weekly basis. Schwartz insists, though, that losing confidence isn’t an option and he seems to still have his.

Despite Detroit’s disappointing season, in which Schwartz’s decisions have been dissected, the fourth-year head coach looks and sounds as if still thinks he can do his job effectively.

The Lions play Sunday night at Green Bay.
