WSDOT solicits public views on transportation priorities

Published: December 7, 2012, 4:00pm

Changing driving habits, increased vehicle fuel efficiency and increasing numbers of electric vehicles have weakened the gas tax’s ability to be a sustainable transportation revenue source.

In response, the Washington State Transportation Commission is seeking public opinion about 2013 transportation funding and investment priorities. Through a new online survey, residents are invited to offer ideas and funding solutions. The results will be reported to lawmakers at the start of the 2013 session.

To participate, visit www.voiceofwashingtonsurvey.org by Dec. 17.
