Letter: Extend sales tax deduction for IRS

The Columbian
Published: December 7, 2012, 4:00pm

Over the past few years, Washington state residents have been allowed to deduct sales taxes from their federal income tax. I’ve recently been informed that tax break is in danger of expiring and might not apply to the taxes you file this coming year.

I’m hoping that you will all write to your elected officials and urge them to get the sales tax deduction extended.
