Murray St ate races past Evansville 82-70

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Isaiah Canaan and Ed Daniel each scored 21 points as Murray State extended its school-record road winning streak to 15 games with an 82-70 victory over Evansville on Saturday.

Canaan had 10 points during a 19-4 run to open the second half, including a 3-pointer with 12:07 remaining that helped the Racers (7-1) rally for a 55-43 lead.

Daniel also had 15 rebounds for Murray State, which won its fourth straight. Stacy Wilson added 18 points and Brandon Garrett had 16.

Evansville (5-4) got 16 points from Ned Cox, 15 from DJ Balentine and 13 from Colt Ryan. Troy Taylor added 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Purple Aces.

Murray State shot 54 percent from the field and outrebounded Evansville 41-30. The Racers haven’t lost on the road since March 15, 2011 at Missouri State in the NIT.
