Marshals with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have apprehended a suspect in the Nov. 28 kidnapping, robbery and attempted murder of an Oregon man at Vancouver Lake Park, according to a news release.
Pedro Godinez Jr., 19, was arrested Friday in the Central Washington town of Grandview.
Godinez was booked in Grandview Police Department’s jail and was expected to be transferred to Yakima County Jail.
He will be transported to Clark County to appear on charges related to the Vancouver Lake case.
A second suspect, 22-year-old Joanna Kyrstin May Speaks of Vancouver, appeared in Clark County Superior Court Dec. 3 on suspicion of luring Freddie Landstrom to her apartment. Godinez, alleged to be Speaks’ boyfriend, is accused of kidnapping Landstrom, robbing him and shooting him near Vancouver Lake.
