SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Dyami Starks scored 25 points and Bryant used a strong first half to pull away early to beat Binghamton 78-56 on Saturday.
Starks shot 9 of 14 from the floor, knocking down six 3-pointers for the Bulldogs (5-3), who have won five of their last six games. Alex Francis and Corey Maynard each scored 12 points. Maynard also had eight rebounds and five assists.
Starks went on a scoring spurt during the first half, making back-to-back 3-pointers then a jumper to give the Bulldogs a 21-7 lead with 12:12 left in the first half. Starks hit another 3-pointer with 1:39 remaining before halftime to give Bryant a 47-25 advantage.
The Bulldogs continued to build on their lead in the second half, pushing their margin to as many as 30 points.
Jordan Reed scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Bearcats (2-8), while Jimmy Gray had 14 points.
