MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould has a strained left calf, putting his participation for the game at Minnesota in question.

Gould was announced as questionable to play on Sunday after getting hurt during warm-ups. He was kicking mid-range field goals shortly before the game started without trouble, but punter Adam Podlesh handled the opening kickoff.

Later in the first quarter, Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton limped off the field, favoring his left leg. He was taken to the locker room on a cart. The Bears were already missing three defensive starters: nose tackle Stephen Paea, linebacker Brian Urlacher and cornerback Tim Jennings.
