Chicago State beats Alabama State 67-54

CHICAGO (AP) — Quinton Pippen had 15 points and a season-high 11 rebounds Saturday as Chicago State beat Alabama State 67-54.

Jeremy Robinson and Clarke Rosenberg also had 15 points for the Cougars (3-8). Nate Duhon added 10 points for Chicago State, which trailed the Hornets 43-40 with 15 minutes to play but scored the next 22 points while holding Alabama State scoreless for the next 10 minutes.

Joshua Freelove scored 13 points to lead Alabama State (0-6). It was the Hornets’ first game since Nov. 25 and begins a stretch of seven games in the next 13 days.
